Dafina Toncheva is a partner at U.S. Venture Partners, a top tier early stage venture firm founded in 1982 in Silicon Valley. Dafina invests in emerging technologies in the enterprise space with focus on Enterprise SaaS applications and security. Dafina joined USVP in 2012 and has since led investments in and joined the board of several early stage software companies. She is currently on the board of InsideSales.com – a sales acceleration platform which has been listed among the fastest growing companies by Inc. and Deloitte and as one of the top 100 private companies by AlwaysOn. Dafina is also on the board of Prevoty – a leader in application security and Apptimize, a provider of one of the fastest growing mobile monetization and engagement platforms. Prior to USVP, she spent two years at the venture capital firm Venrock, where she helped expand the firm’s investments in the areas of enterprise SaaS, virtualization and security. Dafina led the first institutional investment round in Cloudflare – a startup of two founders and an idea which has since transformed into one of the most successful internet security startups in the Silicon Valley. Her other investments from that time include Aria Systems, a widely used SaaS billing engine and Matrixx Software, an innovative charging system for the telecommunication service providers. Before becoming an investor, Dafina held positions in development and product management at Microsoft, where she focused on authentication systems, digital signatures and business workflow. She worked on MSN Live ID and MS Office, and co-authored several key patents.
